February 11: FASCAR Rally

This will be our third annual FASCAR Rally with our Word of Life Olympians Club. Children in grades 1-6 can join us at Hillcrest Baptist Church on February 11 to race their fastest Matchbox or Hot Wheels car. The event will run from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM with a lunch break around noon.

Participants are allowed to bring up to 6 cars to qualify for racing. They should be normal size (extra-wide cars will not fit on the track, and high cars like buses, fire trucks, box trucks, etc. will not be permitted). Please do not use oil, graphite, or weights of any kind, or your car will be disqualified. There will be ribbons and trophies awarded to winners in each division.

We welcome parents, brothers, sisters, and friends to participate in the races with our Olympians. Anyone aged 4 to adult may participate, but you must remain for the entirety of the event in order to be included in the racing.

Jan. 1: New Year's Day Services

On Sunday, January 1, we will have Sunday School at 9:30 AM and Morning Service at 10:45 AM. Pastor Keith Byars will be preaching the morning sermon. Please join us!

Note that there will be no Evening Service that day.

December 25: Christmas Service

Our December 25th service will be a bit different from regular services. We will meet from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon. Our choir will sing several songs, we will present our Christmas Gifts for Christ offering, and Pastor Black will be preaching a special Christmas message.

Be aware that we will not have Sunday School or Evening Service on December 25th.

December 24: Christmas Eve Service

We will have a Christmas Eve service from 6:00 - 7:00 PM. Pastor Black will bring a devotional, and we will have congregational singing.

No nursery will be provided.

November 23: Pie & Praise Night

Join us on Wednesday, November 23 at 6:30 PM for a service of thanksgiving. Our church gathers to share testimonies of the blessings of the past year, sings hymns, and Pastor Black brings a devotional. After service we will have a time of fellowship as we enjoy some refreshments. Bring your favorite pie to share.

Note that all our Word of Life Clubs will be cancelled for the night.

Word of Life Clubs: Gopher Buddies & Olympians

Our Gopher Buddies and Olympians clubs will be kicking off on Wednesday, August 24 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. Gopher Buddies is for ages 4-6, and Olympians is for grades 1-6.

Attending Bible club is free. If you wish to purchase the quiet time materials for your child, there is an additional cost.

July 25-29: Vacation Bible School

We are going to REV IT UP at our Vacation Bible School from July 25-29. We are excited to have Chris and Jeanie Brown of Word of Life Clubs come and lead our VBS program this year. The Browns know how to have fun with kids, and we are anticipating exciting things that week.

The VBS will run from 9:30 AM - 12:00 noon. We look forward to seeing many kids from our Mishawaka/South Bend community.

July 10: "Thank God For Israel Sunday"

Hillcrest Baptist Church loves the Jewish people, and we believe God would have us to stand with Israel. We have a special day planned to do just that on Sunday, July 10.

Speaking in both the Morning and Evening services will be Pat Neff of The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry. We also will be hearing from Yael Farber, the current Israel Emmisary at the Jewish Federation of St. Joseph Valley, in the Evening Service.

Summer Camp

Our 4th Annual Retreat at the Creek is coming up in the next two weeks. We take the teens and juniors each for a week at Potato Creek State Park. The kids ride bikes, play games, swim, and hike. More than that, though, there will be a spiritual emphasis with a devotional time in the morning and afternoon, as well as a Bible lesson every evening.

May 22: Evangelist Terry French

May 14: Ladies Salad Luncheon

We will be hosting our annual Ladies Salad Luncheon on Saturday, May 14. All ladies are welcome to attend. We ask that you bring a salad to share.

Our special speaker will be missionary Cheryl Boisvert with Tri-M Missions.

April 24: Sunrise Service & Breakfast

Join us on Resurrection Sunday for an additional service. Our Sunrise Service will be held at 7:00 AM with a breakfast afterward. Associate Pastor Keith Byars will be preaching the message.

Our other service times will be held as usual.

April 14: Standing With Israel Night

Hillcrest Baptist Church is holding a meeting at the Center For History to encourage and bless Israel and the Jewish community. Our church believes Genesis 12:3, And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. It is clear that Israel was chosen by God as no other nation on earth to be the apple of His eye (Zech. 2:8).

Message: "America-Israel: A True Friendship"

We will also be hearing from the Jewish Federation's Israeli Shaliach (emissary), Yael Farber, with a 20-minute presentation about her personal story of growing up in a Kibbutz in Israel.

Men's Nite Out - February 4

Calling all families!!

We will be having a FASCAR RALLY sponsored by our Word of Life Club. It's open to kids (age 5+), teens, and adults. Parents are welcome to participate with their kids.

Bring up to 6 of your favorite Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars to race against the other contestants. FASCAR RALLY is always a blast!! Trophies will be awarded.
